Bishop Dr. Chris Okoh

Chris O. Okoh is the founder and General Overseer of the Evangelical Christian Ministries, Inc. with the Headquarters at Ughelli in Delta State, Nigeria. He is the Senior Pastor at the Headquarters Church. Chris in his early years was quite religious, He had always desired to be in a right relationship with God. He had this heart experience with the Lord Jesus Christ in June of 1974, and has since surrendered his will and life to Him throughout the years.

His calling into the ministry was coincidental with his salvation experience. He had his first crusade for souls two weeks after his conversion. Indeed, since then, this man has been on fire for God. Burning with the fire of salvation and an earnest burden for souls. Chris in early years was desperately committed to rural evangelism and praying for sincere salvation of his people. He traveled to many villages via bicycle, evangelizing and visiting souls to establish them in the faith.

He is called an Evangelist with the teaching ministry. He is used in the deliverance ministry, contending much in prayers with the powers of darkness, setting captives free. He has been deeply involved in the training of ministers, lecturing in various Bible Schools within the State.

In 1997 he started a Bible School, which had its first graduating class of eight in October 2000. As the years pass, the Bible School continues to grow stronger and stronger, with many graduates now ministering in various ways in the surrounding area.

The ministry where Bishop Okoh is the General Overseer has six local branches in surrounding villages, besides the main church where he is the senior Pastor. Bishop Okoh plants churches and then supervises them to grow. He is keenly involved in rural evangelism-village outreach programs, church planting, church workers seminars, and church leadership conferences, along with writing tracts to reach the masses. The churches are Spirit-filled, Charismatic, Bible believing, Full Gospel, Non-denominational churches. They are companions of therm that fear the Lord-Psalm 199:63

The man of God, a firebrand and uncompromising servant of the Most High God with deep insight into God’s word and great unction, has been guest speaker in numerous occasions in different churches and in several leadership conferences.
